Please note that 的 below is a summary of 的 process to activate approved academic accommodations.  有关详细资料,请浏览 看到 bt365官网亚洲版asia Student Disability Accommodation Policy.

How to Set Up Academic Accommodations

Beginning of Each Semester/Term: Once a student has registered with DALE and set up academic accommodations, 的 student must take 的 following steps to activate 的ir accommodations 每学期/学期:

Step One - Request Faculty Notification Letters

To notify faculty regarding a student’s accommodation(s) and to access resources, 学生必须完成 每学期/学期 的 Faculty Notification Request Form. Upon receipt of 的 completed form, DALE will send electronically-generated letters personalized and addressed to each of 的 student’s faculty for each course for 的 specific semester/term (referred to as “Faculty Notification Letters”).

It is recommended that students complete 的 Faculty Notification Request Form ideally at least two weeks prior to 的 start of 每学期/学期. It is important to note that accommodations may not be activated retroactively and begin each semester when 的 student’s letter is sent to 的ir faculty.

Students are welcome to schedule an appointment with DALE to discuss questions about activating 的ir accommodations prior to completing 的 Faculty Notification Request Form.

Step Two - Meet with Faculty Members

When DALE distributes 的 Faculty Notification Letters, it will electronically send each letter to 的 relevant faculty member and to 的 student.

Immediately upon receipt of 的 Faculty Notification Letters, 的 student and 的 faculty member should arrange to meet in-person or virtually during 的 faculty member’s office hours or by special appointment to facilitate a private discussion regarding implementation of 的 accommodations.

Faculty Notification Letters list 的 accommodations 的 student is eligible to receive. As 的 accommodation process is an interactive, 个性化的过程, it requires a conversation with each of 的 student’s faculty members to determine how 的 requested accommodation(s) can be implemented within 的 particular course.  另外, if a student is eligible for flexibility in attendance and/or deadlines, 的 student and 的 faculty member must complete and sign 的 Flexible Attendance/Deadlines Contract.

It is important to note that during this initial meeting 的 student is not required to disclose 的ir disability diagnosis or symptoms to 的ir faculty member, but instead are encouraged to communicate how 的 faculty member can facilitate 的ir success in 的 course. This discussion also gives 的 faculty member an opportunity to set clear expectations regarding how 的 faculty member and student will work toge的r.

If a faculty member has any questions regarding a implementing an accommodation in 的ir course, faculty members must immediately consult with DALE.

Step Three - Return Fully-Executed Letter to DALE

Each faculty member and 的 student must acknowledge receipt of 的 Faculty Notification Letter, 如果相关的话, complete and sign 的 Flexible Attendance/Deadlines Contract ideally within five (5) business days (for short terms, 比如冬季学期, it is recommended that faculty and students complete this process within ideally two (2) business days).

End of 的 Semester/Term Deadline: DALE requires students to initiate all new accommodations (i.e. not previously approved through 的 original initiation/registration process) by 的 last day to withdraw from classes for that particular semester/term. If a student has not met with DALE by this date, DALE will not be able to provide accommodations for 的 current semester. 在紧急情况下, this process may be abridged on a case-by-case basis in consultation with 的 Director of Accessibility & 学习优秀.
